Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 5:30pm
• Saturday: 9am - 2pm

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on call 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and one technician working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a D-con poisoning, hit by a car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.  In the event we are unavailable for an emergency we will provide you with phone numbers of other veterinarians that will assist you.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Chiropractic and Acupuncture

Prineville Veterinary Clinic  offers acupuncture and chiropractic treatment for their patients.  Dr. Don Howard provides these services on an outpatient basis.  Appointments can be scheduled through this website or by calling 541-447-2179.  Questions regarding the efficacy of alternative treatments can be directed to pvclinic@prinetime.net. 

Boarding

Our boarding kennels are home away from home for your beloved family member.  We provide them with quality care giving you peace of mind.  At Prineville Veterinary Clinic our Doggy Suites are designed to provide comfort and privacy.  Each spacious and airy suite has heating and air-conditioning with daily maid service.  Our boarding staff provides daily exercise, four walks per day for the dogs.  We also provide lots of loving care for the cats.  A licensed veterinarian is on site and available if your pet appears to be ill or refuses to eat.

Daily Boarding Rates:  Dog Suites  $20.00  Additional Dog (shared suite)  $11.00  Cat Kennel  $14.00  Additional Cat (shared suite)  $9.00  Avian Boarding per cage  $22.00  Day Boarding  $12.00  Horse Boarding  $25.00.

All rates start day of arrival, regardless of arrival time.  No charge if pick up time is before 10:00 a.m.  After hours pick up fee is $25.00 prepaid, and will be scheduled Saturday's from 5-6 p.m., Sunday's 8-9 a.m. or 5-6 p.m. and holidays 8-9 a.m. and 5-6 p.m.  Baths are provided upon request and are $10.00-$20.00 depending on the weight of your pet.  Please bring your pet's regular diet and feel free to bring any blankets and toys, dishes are not necessary.  All pets must be current on vaccines and proof must be provided.  Please call to make reservations and a 24 hour cancellation is appreciated.

Open Hospital

Prineville Veterinary Clinic operates an open hospital. This means that our team welcomes owners to be with their animals during most medical procedures, whether a simple vaccination or a complex surgery.  On some occassions we may not allow access during treatment in the best interest of all parties.

Payments

Prineville Veterinary Clinic accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, american express and Debit card. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

Discounts

Prineville Veterinary Clinic offers discounted services to senior citizens and local area rescue groups. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rescue group discounts, please call us for more information.
